What is it
Sisyphus® is the trademark name for a portable emergency escape and descent device intended for use in multi-storied buildings. Fitting conveniently inside of an FAA approved carry-on suitcase, Sisyphus is both subtle and life saving.
When do you use it?
An earthquake, bombing, terrorist attack or fire can destroy entire floors of high-rises, render elevators unstable, fill stairwells with smoke, and leave emergency escape routes useless. In the event of such a disaster, Sisyphus® could be your only means of escape.
Who needs it?
We live in an increasingly dangerous world threatened by civil strife, natural disasters, and electrical fiascos. These threats are present whether you are attending a business conference, sleeping in your own home, or on a peaceful vacation. It does not matter if you are a high-powered CEO, a member of an emergency rescue squad, or a stay-at-home parent. Sisyphus® can save anyone’s life – it could save yours.
How do you use it?
Sisyphus® requires a minimal level of training and the average person can deploy the system in 7 steps after reading and following a simple instruction pamphlet. Once trained, Sisyphus® takes approximately 5 minutes to activate.
Sisyphus® is capable of a direct descent as well as movement from one floor to another floor several stories below. The system is designed for multi-story buildings, including residential structures, as well as extreme city high rises (24+ stories).
Certifications
Sisyphus® was designed by a highly decorated retired CIA officer, and a highly decorated US Navy Seal who’s area of expertise incorporates parachuting and rock-climbing descent systems. Sisyphus® is trademarked domestically & internationally, and is currently patent pending.
